As a first year student in MIT’s Master of City Planning program, Aaron Stelson worked in Lawrence CommunityWork‘s real estate department to track abandoned and tax-delinquent properties. Aaron mapped these properties using GIS technology to identify potential clusters of properties for redevelopment. Lawrence CommunityWorks (LCW) is always on the lookout for putting new properties back into productive community use through affordable housing development. Aaron also sat on LCW’s property acquisition committee.[/lang_en]
