The Union Crossing Project was an innovative mill redevelopment project that sought to transform the physical, economic, social and psychological dimensions of the site being development. The practicum conducted a critical assessment of the history of community/city of Lawrence in order to contribute to the process of developing the Union Crossing Project. The course also explored how the project could use technology to pay tribute to the local history and build community connections. The products took the form of an initial presentation focused on the concept of story telling and history of Lawrence and funding proposal (and accompanying presentation) to create physical and virtual pathways to local history.
